Welcome山东体彩11选5开奖 to the Department of Residential Life and Housing

            HSSU Housing Respose to COVID-19

            Dear Students and Families,

The situation related to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak is evolving rapidly both here in the United States and overseas. Travel restrictions and health advisories may soon be increased. In order to help slow the spread of the virus, and because residence hall accommodations involve close proximity to others and shared bathrooms, the HSSU strongly encourages students not to return to campus residence halls, in order to safeguard their health and well-being.

Please be aware if a student has to be quarantined by health professionals the entire suite may have to be quarantined. Be proactive and make sure your health insurance works in the state of Missouri, some insurance/Medicaid will only work in the state it is issued.

Residential Life & Housing has emailed out special accommodation information and will consider exceptions to allow certain students to remain on campus. However, to remain, you must have completed the and received written official authorization. Students will receive direct communication from Residential Life & Housing after each circumstance is reviewed case by case.

Residential Life developed a plan and emailed it to residential students to assist those who would like to pick up their belongings. Housing ask students to complete the following form as soon as possible, no later than 5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17, 山东体彩11选5开奖 to assist with transitioning students off campus.   to retrieve items.

In addition to our university initiatives, each of us must act responsibly for the benefit of our entire community. If you are sick or become sick, you should stay 山东体彩11选5开奖 from work and avoid close contact with others. If you have any concerns that you have been exposed to the virus, you should call Health 山东体彩11选5开奖 (314) 340-5052 or healthservices@ or your medical provider immediately.

Please remember to take  and be cautious when traveling and interacting with people during spring break. This includes washing your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, and avoiding shaking hands and other physical contact.

I know this is not the spring break we had expected. Typically, March is a special month, when students and community members spend time resting and enjoying new experiences around the city, nation and the world. I am aware that many of you have had to change your plans, and I appreciate the resiliency you have shown throughout these difficult weeks. We must all come together as a community to make the semester as productive as possible.

Please check our website frequently to stay informed.

I can imagine you have many questions as we navigate this change. Our commitment is to work with you during this process.Thank you for your continued patience and understanding. During this time, I wish you all the best of health and ask you to take good care of yourselves

            Retrieve Items Schedule

The schedule below was designed to provide order, while also trying to offer flexibility to allow students and their families enough time to retrieve items from their room in a timely manner. We also are working to minimize the number of students, families and move-out volunteers who are in residential facilities at any given time. Note: our public health experts have advised that we should do what we can to minimize close contact during this transition. This means roommates are encouraged to communicate in advance about belongings, so they may avoid moving out at the same time.

This schedule is broken into 2 blocks, with a free day on Wednesday to improve the process and allow for staff and volunteers to reset before the second block begins.

            • Residential International students who will have difficulty returning to their 山东体彩11选5开奖 country山东体彩11选5开奖 if it has been .
            • Residential Students who have been designated awardees of the state

            Information for Retrieving Items

On the day of your retrieval, we will have staff to assist with transition procedures, logistics, forms and paperwork, and other items to help your transition go as smoothly as possible.

            • Prior to Arrival:

o   Confirm your time block given the Transition Schedule, and indicate in the above form when you plan to arrive, and who will be helping you.

o   Students and their families/volunteers should begin monitoring their health for symptoms as a proactive self-screening measure. Primary symptoms to look for include fever, cough, and shortness of breath. This self-screening should include students taking their temperature twice a day even if they feel well.

o   If symptoms develop and they believe they have been in contact with someone with COVID-19, or have been to a location where community spread of COVID-19 has occurred they should call their primary care physician (and avoid walking into clinics).

            • Upon Arrival / During Transition:

o   Students will not go through the normal retrieve items process; express procedures will be followed to expedite transitions.

o   Staff will be available to assist with these transitions.

o   Yellow moving carts will be available in each building to help expedite transitions.

            • Common spaces in each building (entrances, elevators, hallways, etc.) will be cleaned on a regular basis by the contracted cleaning company.
            • Please retrieve all mail and packages during this time.

            Next Steps and Additional Information

            • Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs): The Department of Residential Life and Housing will be putting together a list of FAQs to share with all residential students on Friday, March 19, 山东体彩11选5开奖. We are compiling this list now, with the goal of answering most of your questions in that list.
